How it works

Everyone watches on their own account. watch.drayzun only keeps play, pause and seek in sync, and carries chat and reactions.

Computers: the browser extension syncs automatically. Phones and TVs: open the room link for chat, a live room clock and Sync me (everyone pauses, you line up, then a shared 3‑2‑1). YouTube can play right inside the room page, fully synced.

Install the extension

Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera or Vivaldi on Windows, Mac, Linux or ChromeOS. (Not Safari or Firefox yet.)

Download watch.drayzun

1. Unzip it into your Documents folder. That makes a watch.drayzun folder there, and that's where the extension lives (deleting it removes the extension).
   Windows: right-click the zip → Extract All… → change the path to your Documents folder → Extract. Mac: double-click the zip, then drag the watch.drayzun folder into Documents.
2. Open chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions, Brave: brave://extensions).
3. Turn on Developer mode (top right; in Edge it's on the left).
4. Click Load unpacked and pick Documents/watch.drayzun.
5. Pin it: puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar → pin watch.drayzun.
6. Come back here and click Connect to link your drayzun account (once).

Updating

The extension's toolbar popup tells you when a new version is out. Then:

1. Download the new zip (button above, or the link in the popup).
2. Unzip it into Documents again, the same way, and choose Replace when asked.
   Mac: drag the new watch.drayzun folder into Documents and choose Replace.
3. Click Reload extension in the popup, then refresh any video tabs you have open.

Faster, if you're comfortable with a terminal: this downloads and unzips over your copy in one go. Then click Reload extension.

Installed an older version from a different folder? Remove that one on the extensions page once, then follow the install steps above. After that, updates are just the three steps.

Chrome may show a "developer mode extensions" notice now and then; that's expected for extensions installed this way.
